PyAnsys 2024 R2: Automation & Digitalization in the simulation process

PyAnsys is an important set of open source tools for interfacing with the portfolio of Ansys simulation tools in the Python language. The ability for developers and engineers to work together on solutions gives Ansys users more control over the tools they need.

Why PyAnsys in the simulation process?

PyAnsys plays an important role in the simulation process as it allows developers and simulation experts to combine the powerful Ansys software products with the flexibility and performance of Python.

Automation and increased efficiency

Recurring simulation tasks and workflows are a central component in process development.

By using PyAnsys, users can create their own scripts and even completely automated workflows that are tailored to their specific requirements. By eliminating the manual input of parameters and the manual execution of simulations, errors are minimized, efficiency is increased, and thus shorter development times are achieved.

Integration and interoperability

PyAnsys allows the seamless integration of Ansys with other Python-based tools and libraries. This enables the use of data from previous analyses, material and process parameters on the one hand and the combination of simulation results with other analysis and evaluation tools, machine learning algorithms and other numerical methods on the other. This allows complex, multidisciplinary problems to be solved more quickly and efficiently.

Flexible innovation

PyAnsys has a modular structure, which allows users to utilize exactly the functionalities they need. Specialized PyAnsys modules, each focusing on a specific task in the simulation process such as geometry processing, model setup and analysis of results, allow different components and libraries to be developed, updated and used independently of each other. This means that new functions and updates can be provided for one module without affecting other modules. This high level of flexibility enables faster and more efficient adaptation to new requirements in a workflow and the reusability of individual components for new automations.PUB_Interview_2024R2_PyAnsys_AIL_Chart
