Ansys LS-DYNA 2024R2 with EM coupling for electrical-thermal-mechanical coupled solutions
Dr.-Ing. Ulrich Stelzmann 06.09.2024
EM features with thermal-mechanical coupling, material data and 2D models for shock analysis as well as simplified handling thanks to keyword split and intuitive unit system
The integration of LS-DYNA into the Workbench environment continues, facilitating the solution of complex coupled field applications, such as electromagnetic, thermal and structural interactions, with a focus on large deformations and failure.
LS-DYNA contains analysis tools for a wide range of physics. Their coupling within one solver is their strength, but handling them is not always easy. This is where the integration into the Workbench environment helps.
Electrical-thermal-mechanical analyses
In the current version, electromagnetic properties can now also be defined via the GUI. This makes it easy to solve coupled electrical-thermal-mechanical analyses, i.e. from Joule heating to the failure of model parts due to overload.
Material data and 2D simulation tools
Other highlights include material data and 2D simulation tools for explosion analyses as well as a thematically split input file, which will please simulation experts in particular.
